Daffodil Day Appeal

Friday 28th of August 2009 was the Cancer Councils’ Daffodil Day Appeal. The aim of the day is to raise awareness and funds for research into cancer as well the treatment and support of those with cancer.

Epping Radiation Oncology Centre sold daffodil pens, and brooches to almost every staff member in the week preceding. On the day almost every tenancy has bunches of vibrant and cheerful daffodils on their reception counter and there were many bunches in vases in the foyer area. Upon entering the medical centre many people commented on the positive effects the bunches of flowers had – ‘Personally, I feel my spirits lift  every time I walk through the medical centre and see daffodils in every direction’.

The staff at Physiofirst donated their time in the morning to provide massages to staff for a donation to the Appeal. Medical Centre Investments and the staff of the Medical Centre would like to thank Dale Turner and Mel Conville for their generosity giving up both time and money to make such a wonderful contribution.
We are looking forward to next year’s appeal already and planning events to involve the local community.
