Reproductive Gynaecologist and Infertility and IVF Specialist
As an infertility specialist, I have a particular interest in both male and female infertility. In addition, I have advanced training in specific reproductive gynaecology and endocrinology conditions, including polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, menstrual dysfunction, recurrent miscarriage, contraception and adolescent gynaecology.
My areas of interest often include issues that require sensitivity and counselling, and I aim to provide this level of care to all my patients. I am able to offer the most up-to-date reproductive technologies and take an individualised approach to each patient or couple’s care.

I am interested in all aspects of infertility, including IVF treatment. I can provide your patients with assistance in all aspects of fertility assessment and treatment, including advanced reproductive services such as IVF if required.
I have been involved in the treatment of infertility for the past 21 years,
and can assist with all aspects of fertility assessment and treatment including advanced reproductive services such as IVF if required.. Initially, I worked with Dr Alan Trounson and Professors Carl Wood and John Leeton at the Queen Victoria Medical Centre in the early 1980’s, a time when IVF treatment was in its infancy. I was involved in research into new reproductive techniques and in 1984 reported the world’s first successful pregnancy in a woman with absent ovarian function.
Following further postdoctoral research I returned to full time study at Sydney University and was awarded my MBBS in 1994. Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology followed this and I achieved my FRANZCOG in 2000. Further training and study lead to the Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology (CREI) in 2002.
I practised as a general Obstetrician & Gynaecologist until 2009, when I ceased obstetric practise to concentrate on infertility treatment.
I currently hold the position of National Medical Director for Monash IVF. This enables me to keep abreast of all the latest advances in reproductive technologies and allows me to apply these to current patient management where appropriate.
